Appears to be well made with quality brass fittings. The "manual" is a little short on suggested uses. For instance, the floor brush has spring loaded clips on the back which make it easy to secure the provided cloth. It was then easy to use on a large cotton base sectional couch I have in a very light beige color. It did a very good job in doing a general cleaning and brightened up the couch nicely. The couch has some brown water staings which did not come out but I did not expect them to. I will use Haitian Cotton Shampoo and a large horsehair shoe brush to get these out using only the foam from the shampoo. I tried using the foam from a detergent and this worked well to considerably lighten the stain. A professional wanted $750 and Sears $200 to do the cleaning; then Sears said they would not do the job if the piece had any brown water stains. I tried Woolite spray upholstery cleaner and this did nothing. The couch is rated "W" which means no solvent cleaners (and be very careful)
I am very pleased with the job the McCulloch did as a general upholstery cleaner and refresher. Be careful with water drips that occasionally happen when the unit is turned on and then off. When you start up again do so away from the piece.
I also did the vinyl kitchen floor and it came out very nicely too.

This product was highly recommended on a message board. I looked at the reviews for this product as well as a few other "steam mops" and decided this was the best fit for my needs.
I have used this product a few times since purchasing it and am in love with how well it cleans my floor. Most of my house is ceramic tile and it did a fabulous job cleaning the grout as well as the actual tile. I have also used it in my bathroom and was pleasantly surprised with how clean my shower looked after using it. The chemicals I had been using in the bathroom do not compare to what this product has done.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a steam cleaner. It has exceeded my expectations.

I bought this because of great reviews. I loved my old, less expensive steamer and thought this would be better. I used 1 time and it never worked again. Contacted Amazon...tough luck just past the 30 day return date. Contacted McCulloch...they said they would repair but I would have to package and pay shipping. I asked if they might send me a refurbished one and then I could return mine in their packaging....NO Way Jose...tough luck you are out $100. So conclusion...your risk I got a lemon and I took 31 days to figure that out.

I love the steam pressure this puts out. The convenience of having the various brush heads right on board the unit makes it very convenient. It rolls easily. The only slight down is the fact that there is no convenient cord storage which is a fault I find with almost all the steam cleaners.

I have been looking for a steamer for a long time and decided on the McCulloch-1275. The main reason was to help me keep our tile floors clean and looking good. Friends told me that they are not worth the money, but I thought diffently. I got the machine and put it together, very easy, read the instuction book, and started it up. I just had to try it in so many places, kitchen sink, counters, inside the garbage disposile, stove, the floor and windows. Then went on to the bath room and cleaned it so well it never looked so good. The laundry room sink was next and it looks almost new, no scrubing, chemicals just the steamer. I have a very old mirror and the frame is hand carved, about 140yrs old, laden with dust and polish I think. You could not see the beautiful detail of the frame and I decided to take a chance to see if I was VERY CAREFUL and used the steamer to clean the frame, well it came out looking better than I had ever thought it would. I then sprayed a furniture restorer and polish on it and now it looks like a million dollars! The steamer has cleaned my title floors like nothing else without chemicals, no streaking or film on the floors. The master bathroom has been a challage since we move into this house, large walk in snail shower with glass block on the one side and cultured marble on the other 3 side pluse the floor. The steamer cleaned every last item, take away the soap scum and water spots. The glass block is repeated on the windows and they too were cleaned with the steamer. Vanity sinks have never looked so good. I then decided to figure out how to use the steamer to steam our shirts, and pants and some place pats. All came out very good, after a few trials. I love this machine, would buy this over and over again and will replace if needed. bought @ amazon.com and received it just one day. Great price and product.
