Purchased this hoping that it would work as advertised. If there's one born every second as PT Barnum used to say it was me when I purchased this piece of junk. I don't know where to start. It has an on off switch that does not appear to be related to the funtioning of the object, What? yes you can turn it on and nothing happens you can turn it off and nothing happens. It's a roll of the dice as to whether it will work. I was TWICE as stupid as I bought two of them one for me and one for the SO, both work exactly the same, THEY DON"T. My wife had hers plugged in last night and woke up to "battery warning 20%" this after being plugged in all night. Arggh. It does not work as advertised, the on off switch is useless and sometimes it cycles between on and off once a second making that annoying ding, or buzz every second as it cycles between off-on-recharge-full-empty-off

I got this at JFK for an international flight then my hubby ordered one when I got home after I told him how much I loved it. I might just get a couple more in case this company goes out of business or discontinues this product. I don't know all of the technical comparisons, I just know that my iPhone lasts forever on this battery pack. The nice thing is that if my phone is at, say 50%, I can stick it in this charger and it will actually charge up my iPhone first back to 100% then if I want, I can just take the iPhone out and it's fully charged. In other words it doesn't just use juice from the recharger like a battery pack would, it actually recharges the phone. Great for traveling. It's sleek, easy to carry and the Kindle USB wire also fits this charger so I often use that to charge from the wall rather than from my laptop. The only thing I don't really like is that when the charger isn't at 100%, and if you plug it in to charge with the iPhone in it, the iPhone goes kinda wacky. I remove the iPhone when I'm charging just the case. Highly recommended!

I had a friend with a Morphie Air case and he seemed very satisfied that it got him trough the day without having to recharge his phone. I like the idea and although the case made his phone much thicker, it wasn't too bad. The only problem was the high cost. I looked at several alternatives. One of my requirements was that the case cover the entire back and sides of the phone (except for cutouts for buttons and camera and such). That narrows the field quite a bit. This case seemed just right but I wasn't sure about it since it had few reviews and was so inexpensive (comparatively). I decided to give it a try and I am actually very satisfied. I only have one problem with the case: it takes forever to recharge it so that both my phone and the case are topped off. I heard one reviewer of the Trent IMP190, a similar case, say it took 4 hours. I left mine charging over night and it didn't finish. I am contacting the company to see if this unit is defective (that is unreasonably long). Once the unit is fully charged, I can make it through though my normal day without a problem. It seems to roughly double the battery life of my phone.
For the money, it seems a good deal.
I will update my review after I hear back from the manufacturer.

I researched 10+ different iphone battery cases and this imaxpower IMP 130 is the best no doubt. All the other similar items on ebay have lower grade cells that compose the battery pack. Lower grade as in not having the actual amperage that they say they have in them and being a low quality impure lithium product that results in much lower performance and lifespan.
Also the circuitry that is built in this imaxpower case is much more superior. Which ensures proper charging and discharging.
If lithium batteries do not discharge and or charge correctly then you can end up with a serious fire. Just google lithium battery fire or lipo battery fire and you will see. HP just had to recall 70,000 lithium batteries due to fire risk.
This is these guys specialty. They have their own manufacturing and lab testing facility here in the states. They know batteries for sure.
This case beats the mophie (80.00 at best buy)because it does not interfere with data/call reception like the mophie has been reviewed to do and the imaxpower case has a better non slip surface on it so it won't slip out of your hand. Their customer service is also A+. You will not regret your purchase.

Let me say this up front. I do not work for or have any affiliation with this company. I write for an iPhone Blog as a reviewer for products.
My test show this case to have a 20% increase on Video Playback Time with a total Play Back of 8:41 hrs. Mophies version of this battery Pack claims only 6 hrs. And if that is not enough to persuade you to pick this battery Pack up maybe the fact that the Mophie Juice Pack Air (while coming in a variety of colors) is sold for anywhere between $69-80. So if you want 20% less power for 40-50% more in expense? Go with Mophie. In the meantime more frugal and intelligent buyers will go with iMaxPower.
Great Product IMP...You guys are FTW!
