After having trouble with our older Actiontec modem we got this PK5000 from Qwest. The PK5000 is a huge improvement over our older unit because it has a much stronger wireless signal. We had to use a booster with our last modem and still had a much weaker signal.
Also, contrary to other reviewers, the PK5000 works great with our XBox 360. It streams XBox Live just fine and Netflix works like a charm through the XBox 360. Actutally, it works better than our old Actiontec due to the stronger wirless signal. It is also less glitchy, requiring less hard reboots. We are very happy with the up-grade to the PK5000.
I've never written a review for Amazon, but I felt I had to set the story straight. Maybe there has been a patch or up-grade to fix previous issues. All I know is it works great and we are very happy with it.

After using several DSL modems in the last time, I wasn't excited at first to get a Qwest branded one. But that changed quickly. The initial setup is really easy.
And after that, you can configure all settings over a convenient web interface. I was amazed about the multitude of features that the modem/router offer. Setting up several wireless networks with different names, e.g. I never saw that much technology packed into a DSL modem.
The wireless quality seems to be pretty good. I tuned the antenna down to 6% (to avoid electrosmog) and still get the 7MBps that I booked with my DSL provider.

Having had nothing but trouble with my older Actiontec modem for quite a while, I finally sprung for the PK5000. It works great for me. I don't know from multicasting, but this thing is a huge improvement for me.

I bought this from Qwest and wasted at least an hour trying to get it set up to stream to my Xbox 360. It turns out that this device doesn't support multicast, which what the Xbox needs for media streaming, so it's worthless to me. (Do a search for "PK5000 Xbox multicast" to see what I mean.) I've read that other technologies, such as Apple's Bonjour, use multicast as well, so if you intend to use this device for network streaming, look elsewhere. Now I've got to return this to Qwest and find a better modem.

Despite what some other reviews claim, the PK5000 does in fact support port forwarding and uPNP. It has nearly as much functionality as a WHR-HP-G54 running Tomato or DD-WRT.
Except that it apparently lacks support for multicast packets, hence no Bonjour, iTunes streaming, etc. I'd give it 3 or 4 stars otherwise, but such a significant functional gap merits 1 star at best. What a remarkable oversight. FAIL.
