     "Works Great!" 2010-06-22

I was a little worried about purchasing this after reading some of the reviews on how it was hard to setup, could not get it to work or just failed completely!

Boy did those reviewers get it wrong.

Hard to setup. Are you kidding? It was a piece of cake. It took about 10 minutes to setup and most of that time was looking for a long phone line.

Just plug your phone into answering machine/phone into the phone port on the unit, plug your fax/printer into the fax/modem port on the unit and then plug the unit into your phone wall outlet. How hard is that? Am I missing something?

I called my house from my cell phone, the unit answered and directed the call to the answering machine/phone. I was able to see my number on the caller id and able to leave a voice message too. I then faxed a letter to my home phone, the unit picked up and directed it to my fax/printer. The fax/printer picked up the call and printed the fax.

It works, it's simple to use, so what's to complain about?

Works as expected. Setup is simply plug and use because the default settings are the most often used. The one I received is black in color and I like it better.

The customer had a fax stick that did not work that well. I replaced it with Comswich 5500 and they love it.

I have had a ComSwitch 5500 before. They work very well in allowing you to have a phone and fax on one phone line. It saves 50 bucks a month or more in having a dedicated phone line just for the fax.

I recently started a home based business and just didn't have it in the budget to have two phone lines (one for a fax). I use a DSL line for internet as well as fax and phone line. I knew about the Command Communications switches from working in the computer industry years ago and decided to give them a call to find out if it would work with a DSL Line. The very first person I spoke with knew the answer to my question and I was only on the phone for about two minutes. This handy piece of equipment worked right out of the box without any effort or programming. I did have to put in a DSL filter (supplied by my phone company), but that was a piece of cake and worked right away.
