I bought my 2005 and still in use. It is manufactured by LG, which makes good products so do not be fooled by the generic name Goldstar. This air conditioner is very light and very easy to install. It's pretty quiet, I have not seen an air conditioner that can match it in this aspect. This A / C pumps out a bit of cold air and has the power to go beyond its recommended use. This may be a 10,000 BTU A / C, but has the heart of a 12 000 BTU A / C. I can use this as a backup for my LG 15000BTU model in a room of 500 square meters. When my LG reaches a certain temperature it turns off and turn it on. Economy mode will keep the temperature in the courtroom and the noise from my LG to about 1 / 2. In the past I have used this to cool the room only 2 corresponds to approximately 400 square feet. Mr. Morelli thorough review of the device seemed honest and realistic So I took the plunge. We had a Frigidaire unit in our room that for me it was very noisy. We swapped out today with Gold Star, and could not believe what a difference. It is as quiet as a fan of the typical room with high speed, low and almost inaudible. We know a little more than a slight noise after that first got him at the window, but the range of small foam opgenomen caused in an instant - who had just forgotten about him in. It was easy to install, except for a small problem. The holes for the top bracket were the right size for the screws to reach them to meet, but the size of the hole in the window was too big. We remedied this by a correction of 70 cents a hardware store, and has three small screws to hold the nuts on the bottom.
