Lovely quiet air conditioner Dogbarczar I first bought an Amana ACD125R (produced by Haier), but took it back to Fry's since moved a girgling sound of the freon through the evaporator, very annoying sound. Fry's return policy is terrible (15% tax and a voucher for the rest) and not from an AC unit from them. I bought the Friedrich CP10F10. When I started the unit, the room was pushing fan sytrofoam. The device company I bought it sent a technician and repaired the problem. Tech said the problem is often how they support the fan motor in one place, instead of two larger units. Unit works fine, it is much quieter than Amana. Not as much as Amana refrigeration unit, but it is not 10K 12K Btu. Have a beautiful full-size remote control device. Has 3 speeds and turns in the air from side to side. Sorry China, but you will never be as good ole game of American shame that we do nothing more here 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Great job, but hell to install by Gavin A. Woodham IF (a big "if") you can get the air conditioner's metal frame to remove the foam, then you're on track. It took me almost three hours over two days with my mother pulling on one end and pulls me to get into the drawer of each A / C off. Finally I just turned upside down and shook it until the inside fell on the carpet below. When this was done and the windowsill was sufficiently sustained (I live in Brooklyn, NY, and then the window is a bit "out of the walls of these brownstones and you have to use bricks to support the frame of A / C - belts do not work), installation is a breeze. The two A / Cs with apartment 3 bedroom nice and cool, and breathing is much easier at night (I suffer from sleep apnea).
