My unit broke the window last summer, due to cost prohibitive cost of delivery / installation in New York for a fourth floor without elevator with extra large windows, I decided to take my laptop A/C-- first leg. I am sure that many of the issues that I am showing here has to do with the fact that phones are not as efficient as window units, but the 12,000 BTU unit cools my apartment is not as fast as my window BTU strong nearly 8,000 plant before. The good thing about the device that is an advantage over my old window unit that is when I installed in my room, I can spoil my room one (8 feet x 14 feet) to close the door, or angle to cool the room to be alone (20 feet x 22 feet), or hit the two rooms. The bedroom is cool enough when I opened, so it cools my room alone (and the temperature on the unit can come down to 73 degrees) was closed, it is a challenge to cool completely living in a very hot day, but it was also a problem when I had my window unit (also installed in my bedroom) when I try to cool only the room (usually the appliance to the bedroom door and burst into the living room only), while sometimes cool to room a comfortable temperature, heat in the bedroom ago, because the PVC outlet leading from the device to the bedroom gets very hot. It is also very vocal. The first week I could hardly fall asleep because of noise. It is like sleeping near a generator. I think I have gotten used to it by now, but I certainly think that it could have been better designed to silence. Also, even at low speeds, it's as loud as when at high speed. Note that all portable devices are a type of exhaust system can be connected to the window, then requires that the heat from the fire escape can be generated you need is a small window, but much less than an A / C would, so if you have a basement apartment a small window, you would probably still be able to accommodate this device. If you have a live situation where a window unit, yet simple and cost must be installed, I recommend it. For those who can not install windows for some reason, this portable device is OK, but I wonder if it is more efficient, less noisy equipment out there. Poor air conditioner with an interface window of a client's real shit, I purchased this item from BJ looks identical but has a part number CPN12XH9. I use this conditioner in a room about 14 x 14 x 7, which comes to about 85F on a hot day. This unit strives to do in less than 75, even if I put in 70F. The interface of the window from the outside is very cheap. It is a thin plastic sheet that is two sections that fit inside each other and slide the width of the window. The two pieces of the window of the room have different heights (because it slides inside the other) so that it does not close properly around the window opening and leaves a gap on the top that allows all the cold air from escaping and insects from entering. They do not provide all the seals around the window and the instructions suggest using duct tape to seal the openings. This is a very poor design. This air conditioner is properly Bearly smaller place and I imagine that one size larger space would be a real problem for this unit to control 2 of 3 people found this review helpful. No.
