Most helpful customer reviews 68 of 74 people found this review helpful. more harm than it's worth it to kanimc I was in the market for a new air conditioner for my 12x15 room, and reading the reviews of others is sure of size, BTU, and the price would be the 8000 Haier CPRB08XCJ right fit for my needs. During the installation, and I started using the product, I encountered several problems. The first is that the configuration and installation instructions are not clear, even for a seemingly simple process. Second, while the unit is said to cool a room up to 250-300 square feet, it was difficult to cover my 180. And even if they do not seem to do a better job of dehumidifying cooling, the amount of drainage water collected is unmanageable. The product has been said that most self-evaporation with a tank that will hold the excess. I knew that the unit may need to occasional drainage. I am still unable to manage the unit for more than 3-4 hours before the tank is filled and closed completely since I'm using this in my room there is no convenient way to drain the water without having to remove it completely accessories and window in my bathroom, or let it drain into the pans and bring them to the kitchen sink. The other night while I slept, I tried only allow drainage and cooled in an aluminum pot parts, but the amount of water was so great that half the night began to overflow. I'll try to find some rubber hose to fit the exhaust pipe to put out my window, but without increasing the unit incredibly heavy I can not really see how efficient drainage. I could forgive this disadvantage if the device was effective cooling my little room, but everything is mediocre. Thirdly, I feel that calling this portable air conditioner is a bit misleading, so I move the unit to another room that I need to switch to disconnect from the wall, the exhaust pipe disconnect the torque window to resize and remove it from my window frame to remove, then transporting the equipment to another room and return to the system exhaust hose and window. He does not seem much, but the whole process takes about 15-20 minutes. I think that by buying multiple panels to the window I could keep pre-installed on other windows of the house, but with all the extra costs and hassle I do not think this device is worth the fuss. I had also tried to make a number of methods for solving problems they may, but not even this Haier product list on your site. Finally, because I bought the air conditioner sponsored by Amazon, but sold by a company called Beach Audio, I can not return the product to the Amazon. Beach Audio has a 30-day return policy to certain conditions including independent including air conditioning, whether they are defective or not it was my mistake not researching this before my purchase, but I was told that their return was 30 days; I do not see the need to study it further. 41 of 44 people found the following review helpful. Great Little A / C! K. Arredondo I have two LG 9000 's necessary for larger rooms, which I love, but a little less for my child's room (the central AC terrible cooling above!) So that we have this the other day and it is perfect. You do not need to drain, so I do not know what persuaded the earlier study. It is, of course - evaporation and uses its own water cond. to cool down. The window mount is much better than my LG. It is a very stylish and a little box, AC works wonderful and keeps me less stressed at night worrying about comfort my 18 month old at night. I have a thermostat in my room reading tells me that the temperature in his room and the AC, keep it exactly what I wanted to love it so far and recommend safe! 17 of 17 people found the following.
