I had this fan for over five years ... and work as well as one day. It is rather exceptional, since it uses a turbine - not blades. It moves lots of air, even at low speed. It would blow away any fan typical $ 15 per box. I would be willing to bet that exceeds the 18 "Patten air flow speed! It is also better than looking like Stanley, who receive high marks from reviewers here. I thought that Stanley is a small fan and less potent than is constructed so difficult. Remember to compare the size and weight and see the difference. For an extra $ 10, this fan is a better buy. By the way, I have 3 cats and I suspected that the skin of cat may have reduced the performance of this fan ... so I decided to disarm. This was easily, by about 8 screws My suspicion was right! I found what appeared to be a 1 / 2 inch thick cat hair on the turbine. It was almost choked the air flow. I cleaned and blew it with my compressor. The fan is now running like new again with full force. The reason for this story of a cat is simple - you need to know that this fan is suitable ... from you, as long as you own a Philips screwdriver. Other fans can be repaired and never longer than 5 years. I have not seen the comments on this fan, I felt compelled to inform you of my experiences. I would recommend this to hesitate to other fan without fan. A final note: As an alternative, I also had this Lasko tower fan (turbine) for over 5 years. Superior performance in a compact design retrodog For a fan is really amazing. I was at a local BBQ place and she had one of those circulating air where it was putting out so much air that I need to go take a look to see what brand it was. So I ordered from Amazon the same day. I'm something of a hobby person around the house and sometimes I have something to vapors (paint, glue, whatever) to remove from a fenced area ... quickly. This thing will do. The design is shared with a number of other brands, but also has outlets on the side. These can be good tool. Grounded cord is a major version that is about 8 inches long. Angle (height) can be adjusted. Even if I would just like to point out that due to smaller than normal footprint of the fan, they could easily be sitting on top of other things, that placement of very flexible. It pulls air in from the side so if you try to draw in fresh air, it will be leaned back a little longer than an ordinary fan with a knife. noise, while the current is not excessive. Actually not bad at all I could sit and watch TV with this thing work and would not be very disturbing. The sound is a constant and contains no clicks or sounds that can be annoying. I also bought this for probably five years from Sam's club and has since gained a little more. I've used this daily work as a carpenter nets in the air moving into the house to keep warm during the day and they keep going. Start scared, dirty around the rear of the truck, wet, and still function as the day they were new. Move one ton of air, and make it much quieter than a normal fan. Highly recommended.
