This Evaporative Air Cooler, Humidifier, Air Filtration and Fan with Ionizer is versatile and an economical way to cool and humidify the surrounding air. Designed with micro computer control system, this unit can lower surrounding temperature and humidify the air through the principal of water evaporation. The Cooler easily rolls from room to room with lockable casters. This Air Cooler shoots a stream of air with oscillating louvers, to evenly distribute refreshing cool air. Can also be used as a fan or humidifier if temperature is not an issue. The remote control allows you to easily change settings. The Air Cooler works by endothermic reaction, a reaction that consumes heat, so this evaporative Air Cooler sucks air through a wick saturated with water. As the air flows through the wick, some of the water evaporates into the air, consuming the heat that was in the air. An air stream is then blown out the front of the unit and is considerably cooler than the current room temperature! This is not an air conditioner and therefore uses much less energy. The unit works well in dry climates; not very effective in areas with high humidity as the unit utilizes water to cool.

An air stream--considerably cooler than the current room temperature--then gets blown out the front of the unit through oscillating louvers for even distribution. The appliance can also be used as just a fan or a humidifier when temperature is not an issue. Easily change the settings with the included remote control. Only after completing the entire tray of ice and cold water at night makes this has a cooling effect, and even, just for an hour or so. A little less ice and ice water that are doing something to generate moisture and waste power. Big fan, not cold as much by Eric Griffith knew when I bought this was not an air conditioner and should not expect that the cooling effect of air conditioning. I was hoping there would be less than the ambient temperature of 12 degrees as advertised. After reading the instructions, its creation, and fill the tank, let it run in a small room 17:00 to 23:00. After six hours, the room was not hot just yet, but it was hot and humid, and as people said it works best in dry climates. I live in Southern California surrounded by desert, the most you can get. Leong bought this product in a Vietnamese supermarket for the same price offered here. use evaporation for a week, then began to pour. He took it apart found no cracks in the water tray, also reinforced the drain plug with teflon tape being leaked. put a ring of plumbers putty on the drain hole in the tray of water fills the frame and replace the pot with water. No escape for an hour, so I went to work, came home a few hours, towels surrounding the bottom of the unit was soaked, filtered again. Can not go back as I pulled the box and receipt away. The function of the fan is powerful and good works, I do not know how good the ionizer, but it is still drying on both units, I'll just use the fan.
