For the price this has to be one of the quietest air purifiers I have bought.
Delivers a lot of air at minimal noise. I purchased one of the units for our guest bedroom was very impressed with the performance of the unit.
Although it has a permanent non replaceable filter that is cleaned by vacuuming the unit it is money well spend for a quality product.
I just ordered another for our computer room to replace a very noisy Honeywell desk model.
I give it five stars easily..

I ordered it to help eliminate the smell of cat feces. I do keep the box cleaned daily but it still smells when an animal eliminates. The odor has a way of lingering in the air. It works as far as it goes for sucking any particles floating through the air and I have found dust collecting on the filter. But it does not help in the area of eliminating the smell of cat feces. I made my decision based on another review that said it was purchased to help with litter box odors. For the price I basically bought an expensive dust collector and even then there isn't that much dust found on the filter (which is hard to believe considering that I have 80% carpeting in my house).

I had the ionic pro for 11 months. Loved it, till it died. I was looking for something quiet and inexpensive.
It works. As for the noise, its just like the white noise you will hear in an office. Does not bother me, and my kids don't notice it.
Worked well enough that I went ahead and bought another.
Besides, for the price, I won't be peeved if it dies on me in 11 months.

Hamilton Beach 04383 True Air Allergen-Reducing Air Cleaner is true to its title. It DOES clean the air and reduce the allergens. I put this in the room where my Boston Terrier hangs out and has the most amount of windows and sure as heck the particles floating around in the sun were gone in a few hours! I literally could breath the difference! I wish I could explain it better, but all I can say was that it smelled and felt much cleaner...almost like a crisp morning in the fall. Air quality was truly different. The machine is not loud at all. It has 3 different speeds, but I found the lowest speed works fine if you leave it on all day. My whole family notices a difference. Very good product and it has a permanent filter...woo hoo!

I bought this product for my son. He's eight years old and suffers from allergies. He woke up every morning sneezing, and with a stuffy nose. I was looking for an alternative to giving him allergy medication every day. We keep it on the desk, right next to his bed. It's incredibly quiet and it has helped his allergies a lot. After about a month of constant use on the medium setting, I vacuumed the filter. It was filty. I was very impressed with how much dust it pulled from the air.
