I was a bit concern if I can use this on an AR-15, since most of the review here were for airsoft guns. Yesterday was the first time I used it and it was great. Went through about 100 rounds and it worked well, handled the vibration from a Wal-Mart Federal .223. I used blue loctite after mounting it on top the carry handle to secure it. The lens and dot stayed in tact, I used it in broad daylight and I was able to see the red dot, I had to switch to the maximum setting though but I was able to see it under a bright sunny day. For the price paid it's a great toy... for fun, plinking, or target range it's great. If you are going to Iraq with it... I'm sure this can't handle it.

The way a electronic dot sight works is the "dot" is always pointing in the direction of the barrel at all times, and that alows for their not to be a sight in fron and rear. What the previous review was seeing is the dot staying on target while he was looking at an off angle. If it truly moved off target then it would be impossible to 'Zero In" and well i already have. If anyone is concerned about the dot not being direct in the middle of the scope, its because your eye is not strait with the gun. And even if the dot is to the side and the scope had been zeroed then when it fires it will hit the mark the dot had shown. As an owner of this scope i have been very happy with it.

I bought this after seeing all the great reviews but I was instantly disappointed. My main complaint for this dot sight is that the dot moves depending on the angle that you look at it. The only way to be accurate with this scope is to look down its center directly. True red dot sights don't do this - the dot remains fixed and does not move depending on viewing angle. I'm an airsoft player and having to look down the red dot sight precisely down the center when split decisions count does not help at all, especially with the heavy front end of my M4 S-System.
Furthermore, the dot was large and appeared fuzzy and diffracted - for far away targets, the "dot" often completely obscures the target rather than "painting" them. You might as well stick to iron sights instead of using this. Good red dot sights have the dot appear like it came from the laser of a good laser pointer. A friend of mine spent twice as much ($50) and the dot is perfect - none of this fuzzy trash. If you need a red dot sight for competition or serious play, I recommend spending more on a better red dot sight.

I bought this for my 10/22 and think its fantastic, very accurate and everyone who sees it thinks i spent over 75 bucks. I'd buy it again.

Easy to install on an AK side-mount. A few minor adjustments on the windage knob, my shooting improved over the use of the iron sights.
