First unit Amazon sent was dead on arrival. First I called Motorola for a diagnosis and was told to contact Amazon for a replacement. Amazon sent me a replacement the next day. All I can say is the modem works great, I routinely go over my 20 MB rated internet connection from Comcast and sometimes speeds reach up to 30 MB with [...]. I paired this modem with an Apple Extreme Airport, they play nice together.

No speed difference - on the Comcast 12Mbps plan, my old Motorola SB5100 and the new SB6120 both showed these essentially identical (!) results from [...] over three separate tests of each modem: download 21.16Mbps +/- 0.01Mbps; upload 4.37Mbps +/- 0.07Mbps. SB6120 shows bonding four channels download; one channel upload. Comcast immediately put their newest firmware (1.0.2.4) onto the modem.
Despite the failure to create faster upload or download speeds, I agree with some posters here: web pages seem to "zing" onto the screen. Web browsing is more satisfying. I gotta love it - worth the money in my opinion.

If you have cable internet, this is the one for you. It was easy to install, and the speed is great especially if you have the higher end (speed) cable internet. This is well worth the money and is a better product than what you will get with your provider (and cheaper in the long run), over the monthly charge the internet company will charge for lease.

I've got Comcast high speed Internet and was paying $5.00 per month for a modem. Did the checking around and this seemed like a good choice. Came quick and installed fine. Had to spend some time on the phone with the Comcast tech to get it set up - but it has worked perfectly ever sense. No crashes, no need to reset.

I purchased this modem (on the advice of my neighbor) to replace a modem that the cable company provided.
When my current cable service package expired they started charging us a rental fee for the modem, so I decided to buy my own.
We used to have all sorts of interruptions and problems before and now we don't... This new modem is not only faster but so much
more reliable than the old one. Also, it will be able to handle any upgrades to our service as we get them.
Highly recommend!
